What this guide answers
This educational guide helps readers interpret the Daily Lines screen and its model comparisons.
- Always name the team attached to a spread
- A minus sign indicates the favored side
- Totals refer to both teams combined
- Line movement changes the evaluated decision
Spread notation
A home spread of Seattle -3.5 means Seattle is the home favorite by 3.5. A model margin can be compared with that number, but the comparison must use the same home-team perspective.
Total notation
A total of 47.5 is the market threshold for combined scoring. An over/under model estimates that same combined quantity and measures the distance from the current line.
Prices and timing
Sportsbooks may show different lines or prices, and values can change quickly. Only the Overs presents analytics for informational purposes; it does not guarantee outcomes or remove the need to verify the line where a user acts.
