A clean FanDuel build begins with the official salary list and the projections mapped to those exact players. Unmatched names, suffixes, team changes, and inactive players should be flagged rather than filled through guesswork.

Translate projections into lineup decisions

Median points help establish a baseline, while ceiling, ownership, game environment, and role uncertainty help distinguish tournament choices. Salary-adjusted value is useful, but it should not erase raw scoring potential or correlation.

Audit the finished build

Review team concentration, duplicated constructions, exposure to uncertain players, and salary usage. Leaving salary unspent can be intentional in tournaments, but the decision should come from ownership and lineup uniqueness—not from an unnoticed data gap.
